NYC Parks is the steward of over 30,000 acres of green open spaces across New York City — including parks, playgrounds, beaches, tennis courts, golf courses, and recreation centers. Members of the Parks Security Service work outdoors patrolling these facilities to promote proper use and enjoyment of parks.

There are no formal education or experience requirements for this position. The following are the minimum requirements to be considered:

- ✓Able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts
- ✓Good physical condition — this is an active outdoor position involving walking, standing, and patrolling
While not required, the following skills and qualifications will strengthen your application:
