The New York State Unified Court System’s Office of Court Administration (OCA) is hiring Computer Applications Programmers at four grade levels — from entry-level to senior — within its Division of Technology and Court Research. Positions are located in Albany, NY and New York City. With 22 openings currently available and a June 2, 2026 deadline, this is one of the largest technology hiring announcements from the NYS court system in recent years.

These are direct-hire positions — no civil service exam is required for the two upper levels (Non-Competitive classification). The two lower levels are Competitive classification but may be filled through direct appointment depending on the eligible list status.

Key Responsibilities

Programmers will be assigned to one of several application development teams within the Division of Technology and Court Research. Core responsibilities include:
